After my drink, I decided to walk to 57th Street and 6th Avenue to catch the F train. The subway stations in New York are interesting. Lots of homeless people and entertainment. It can get scary especially when these people are really out of it. Today’s episode was a drunken Hispanic guy. He was drunk so all he did was talk to all the Hispanics he could find. Thank God I he didn’t see me. I hate it when these people try to get into my business.

I got off at the last stop (179th street and Hillside) and walked all the way my house on 209th street. It wasn’t such a bad idea because I still needed some alone time. I called Luther to tell him I was okay, just taking my time. By then, it was already 10 PM and was dark. The weather was perfect for walking though. It was around 55 degrees and it’s so much warmer compared our recent 35-degree temperatures. I made it home around 10:30 and I felt so relaxed. My head was finally cleared. And if there was any good thing I got from the whole “time alone”, was that I did not have to worry about Randy and Aileen. All I can do at this point is wait and see what happens next.

The next day, I told Aileen (one of only 2 girls I hang out with) about the previous night. Randy and Aileen are also pretty close and I’ve them many times if they were together. I wanted to make sure that my feelings for Randy wouldn’t hurt anyone. They both said there was nothing between them.

But after I told Aileen about the previous night, I instantly felt guilty. I don’t understand it, but I had this gutt feeling that I hurt her really bad. One of my favorite restaurants is Dallas BBQ near my school in Brooklyn, City Tech. BBQ also has a couple of franchises in Manhattan. The place is very affordable and they have big servings!

I’ve probably eaten at BBQ a dozen times just because I am in LOVE with their
TEXAS SIZE PIÑA COLADA. Whether it’s regular Piña Colada or Peach-flavored, I LOVE IT.  And don’t forget the shot that comes with it. It is really good.

For appetizers, their buffalo wings are famous. They wings are unbelievably good.

But here’s what I regularly order for $5.99:

Since I play volleyball, my friends and I love going to BBQ after practice. When you’ve been working your butts off for 3 hours, this place just hits the spot.

It’s so affordable, too!

My friend, Chris, invited me to celebrate his birthday with him at China Club. I decided to be there at 11 PM, which is still quite early by New York club standards. Besides, it gives me enough time to stand in line.

It was about 30 degrees outside and it was no fun waiting outside the club in the cold. Driving is another issue. Times Square had way too much traffic that night. My friend Wendy and I passed by the club and saw the line was two blocks long. We were having second thoughts.

We decided to push on as the drive was arduous enough. As we headed to the back of the line, someone tapped me on my shoulder. It was my other girlfriend, Princilla. She was invited to the same party. She said she had been in line for at least an hour and a half. Twenty minutes later, we were in.

When we got in, Chris told us right away that there was entertainment for women—male strippers—on the first floor. So, us girls rushed downstairs as quickly as we could. And wow! The entertainment was amazing! All the ladies in the room were drooling over these blessed men (LoL)

Before I get carried away with the hunky men, let me describe the club. It
Has two floors: the first floor had the entertainment, while the second had the dance floor. They played a lot of house music. And the place was packed!

In general, it was a great place. But the bartenders weren’t so nice though. Not to be mean, but I’d call them idiots. I don’t know where they learned to mix their drinks, but they sucked. Their apple martini tasted like a sour apple drink. It was just not the best drink mix I’ve had.

New York is filled with different nationalities. One Sunday night my cousin and I were just looking for a place where we can drink. Clubs are out because I had to get to work early the next day. We decided to go somewhere near his apartment in Astoria, Queens.

We went to this Greek bar called Tré, located at the corner of 34th street and Broadway. The bartender was awexome. My cousin was going through a break-up and she (bartender) was sweet enough to listen to my cousin babble. Oh, and drinks were good, too!

Since my first experience at Tré was positive, I decided to take 2 of my friends back there for drinks. It was a Friday night and the sign outside said free drinks for the ladies until 11:30 PM. I didn’t have to drive that night so I had to take advantage of the open bar.

Tré was totally different this time. They had a small dance floor and the DJ was playing reggaeton (Spanish reggae) instead of Greek Pop. He also played some Bachata, Merengue and Salsa. The coat check-in attendant told me that Tré hosts parties every Friday night. How lovely is that? By the way, ladies who are 18 & under can get into the party but no alcoholic beverages for them. My guy friends normally don’t dance but I guess I was persuasive enough.

Just to give you an idea of how great the DJ and the crowed were, we got there at 11 PM and left at 3:30 AM very happy.

The place is actually smaller than normal clubs I go to, having two floors. The first floor is for people who paid to enter just to get into the club, while the second floor is for those who have VIP parties. Lucky for me, I was able to get a VIP pass through a friend of mine.

Clubbers were definitely feeling the place as everyone was on the dance floor. Of course eventually I had to join them since the energy in the place was just too much to ignore.
I’m a reggaeton (Spanish reggae) kind of person but this place has a great DJ who plays amazing mixes of Pop, Hip Hop, and R&B.

If you are looking to find gorgeous people, this is the place! A lot of models
come here to have fun. I swear I my head kept turning at all directions to look at hot men and women.

The drinks are also a bit more expensive, though. But you get a good deal for the price because the bar tenders mix the drinks just right.

I’ve been in different clubs and lounges in Queens and Manhattan, depending on my mood. Whenever I feel like just drinking and hanging out, I go to Play Lounge along Queens Boulevard (77-17 Queens Blvd, Queens, NY). It’s a pretty relaxing place with pool tables, a dance/lounge area, and bowling alleys. It still has that club atmosphere but it gives you more options rather than just dancing (or should I say grinding?) with other people. Plus, smokers are welcome! Now, we don’t have to step outside just to get a drag, especially during winter.

Play Lounge also hosts Z100—New York’s #1 Hit Music Station—parties. There was this one time when Z100 hosted a party and ladies got free drinks until midnight! And you bet I was all over that alcohol. I was with my friend Ken and his other friends. None of them really the dancing type but we still managed to have fun because there other things to do at Play Lounge. If we rounded up to a club, I’m sure they would be just standing in a corner, scratching their asses (lol).

So for the peeps who don’t like dance clubs or who don’t want to deal with drunk people in bars, I recommend Play Lounge!
